1) The 3rd annual Joe+N day-tour took place on Saturday May 18th. With the help of friends, i played 8 locations around Rochester, NY in as many hours, from the back of my jeep. to help celebrate the day, i released a 3 CDR boxset (hand-made wooden box) which includes all the live performance recordings from the 2001 day-tour and all the field recordings from the 2000 day-tour. these are limited, so hurry. check out the joe+n day-tour page (www.carbonrecords.com/bands/joe4/day-tour_2002/) for more info. Video from this year's day-tour will be posted shortly. 2) I'm in the early stages of planning a new Carbon series of releases. this time, all digital, that is, the method of distribution. Inspired by the work of the Irish label, Fallt (www.fallt.com), these releases will be posted on the Carbon site in MP3 (sound) and PDF (print) formats for free download. I'm not yet sure of the frequency and length of the series, so keep an eye out for more info (www.carbonrecords.com/mp3_series/). |
